Welcome Home is set in the year 2000 and is about a girl coming home after flunking out of her first semester of college. It deals with the reasonings of her actions, secrets, what it means to be a child, and what it is like to come home after gaining a level of adulthood. We find out that though she followed all of her family's rules to success, she fell short and doesn't know how to tell the truth to the one person who has been her number one support, her father.
